The article analyses the ecological state of environmental components – geological environment, geophysical fields, geomorphosphere, hydro- and atmosphere, soil and vegetation, fauna, technosphere and demosphere in the flooded areas of the Western region of Ukraine in 2008 and 2022. Technologies for environmental protection of objects and territories from catastrophic floods are proposed.
