Opportunities for scientific internships, joint research projects and, above all, real contacts between employees – this is how the cooperation of the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the Opole University of Technology in Opole, Poland, will look like.
Politechnika Opolska is known for its modern and innovative laboratories. Specialized devices help scientists and students, for example, simulate earthquakes, investigate high voltage and infrasound, or collaborate with the NAO humanoid robot. As part of their research, they work on technologies for modern building materials and mathematical modeling of processes for the needs of industry.
The cooperation between the institutions was launched exclusively through an online formula. The agreement was signed by the Director of the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Oleksandr Trofymchuk and the Rector of the Opole University of Technology, Professor Marcin Lorenz.

The University of Technology is very active in helping its compatriots. We are looking forward to the possibility of cooperation,” emphasized Marcin Lorenz.
Prof. Andrzej Cichon, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Informatics of the Opole University of Technology, emphasized that the cooperation will consist in organizing scientific internships for the Institute’s employees at the Opole University of Technology and vice versa.
