Employees ITGIS NASU Klimenko V., Ph.D., senior researcher, scientific secretary, Novokhatska N., Ph.D., researcher of the Department for Environmental Research and Zagorodnya S., research of the Department for Environmental Research taken part in «VI International Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Multi-disciplinary approach to solving the problems of geology and geophysics” held in Baku, Azerbaijan 12 – 15 October 2015. The conference was devoted to addressing the issues of geology and geophysics with the help of a multi-disciplinary approach to discussion of scientific achievements in the field of geology and geophysics, and prospects for the future.
From 12 to 15 October 2015 by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of NAS of Azerbaijan on the day of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan was organized by the VI International Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Multi-disciplinary approach to solving the problems of geology and geophysics.” The aim of the conference was to discuss the scientific achievements of young scientists and their developments, to expand scientific relations for the purpose of participation in joint international projects and competitions.
The International Conference was attended by young scientists, distinguished scientists, representatives of the press and the public from around the world (Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Iran, and others.) to discuss key topics of research and promote international cooperation in the field of geology and geophysics.
Participants of the conference discussed the achievements of global problem-solving Geology, Geology and Geophysics, using a multi-disciplinary approach and the use of modern information technologies in the field of environmental geological safety.
The presentations at the International Conference of Young Scientists and students are placed in a collection of abstracts of the conference and presented on the website of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
According to the results of the conference indicated ITGIS NASU employees received certificates of participation in the International Conference of Young Scientists and Students.
