On October 22, 2025, at 18:00, as part of the project “Scientific Meetings”, a popular science lecture will be held by the Chief Researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR (1991) and Ukraine (2004), and a liquidator of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster (1986), Yevhen Oleksandrovych Yakovlev.

Lecture topic: “The Impact of Rocket and Artillery Shelling on the Deterioration of the Protective Potential of Ukraine’s Landscapes.”

The event is dedicated to developing an ecological assessment of the negative impact of long-term regional rocket and artillery shelling on the geochemical landscapes of Ukraine, as well as to the ecological and geological hazards of their influence on the potential for post-war recovery.

Format: In-person meeting at the Kyiv House of Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (45a Volodymyrska Street).
