Dear colleagues,
On April 24, 2026, at 18:00, within the framework of the project “Scientific Meetings”, a popular science lecture will be delivered by Yevhen Oleksandrovych Yakovliev — Chief Research Fellow at the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher, laureate of the State Prizes (USSR, 1991; Ukraine, 2004), and a ликвідатор of the consequences of the Chornobyl accident (1986).
Lecture topic: “Pre-Accident Geological Signals of the Chornobyl Disaster”
The event is dedicated to assessing changes in geochemical parameters of soils, groundwater and surface waters, as well as bottom sediments of river channels within the Kyiv Reservoir area before the end of 1985 — the year preceding the Chornobyl disaster.
Format: in-person meeting at the Kyiv House of Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine (45a Volodymyrska Street).
