On May 16, 2026, the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took part in the third festival, “Science and Plants Day,” held at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine.
The event brought together scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, educational organizations, young researchers, partner organizations, and everyone interested in the world of science in order to promote scientific knowledge. It also became a large-scale platform for communication and the exchange of both scientific and practical experience.
During the festival, the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the NAS of Ukraine presented its scientific developments, the results of scientific expeditions studying the limnological ecosystems of Ukrainian Polissia (Nobel and Omyt lakes), the territory of the Lower Dniester National Nature Park, as well as IT research for ecology and environmental safety.
The Institute’s exhibition attracted considerable interest among the festival guests, particularly school students, university students, and young scientists interested in environmental research and new achievements in the field of IT.
As part of the event, employees of NAS of Ukraine institutions were also awarded Certificates of Honor from the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine for significant achievements in scientific and scientific-organizational activities, as well as for supporting young researchers. Among the award recipients was Yevhen Oshkodiorov, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the NAS of Ukraine, who also participated in presenting the Institute’s scientific research.
The event was organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine, the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine, and the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine.
