During the period from June 28 to July 7, 2025, scientists from the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ITGIP NAS Ukraine) participated in the XXV International Scientific GeoConference on Earth & Planetary Sciences SGEM 2025, which took place in Albena, Bulgaria.
A presentation was delivered on the topic: “Using GIS to inform administrative bodies about locations of anomalous changes in Earth’s underlying surface using forest plantations as an example“. The research presented in the report was conducted by scientists from ITGIS NAS Ukraine, with the following authors: Director of ITGIP NAS Ukraine, Corresponding Member of NAS Ukraine, Professor Oleksandr Trofymchuk; Academic Secretary, PhD in Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher Viktoriia Klymenko; Senior Research Fellows of the Environmental Research Department Viacheslav Vyshniakov, PhD in Technical Sciences, Natalia Sheviakina, PhD in Technical Sciences. A series of consultations were conducted with specialists, including with the Department of Institutional Development and Process Management of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, specifically F.V. Glugan, who is a co-author of this research.
